It started as texts to friends
Every time someone visited, I'd send the same list of spots — the beach that's actually calm enough for kids, the waterfall that isn't overrun by ten in the morning, the lechonera worth the drive. Eventually the list got long enough that it made more sense as a website than a group chat.
Everything here is personal and unpaid — no sponsored placements, no "best of" lists written by someone who's never been. If a spot's on this site, I've been there, usually more than once.
Places change. If something's closed, moved, or just isn't as good as it used to be, I update the guide — this is meant to stay useful, not just launch and go stale.

A 2019 Toyota Corolla hatchback, dependable in the way only a Corolla can be. He's driven most of the roads on this site — some paved, some not, all worth it. When we're both free, Pepito and I will personally take you to any spot in these guides and fill in the stories that don't make it onto the page.
